This registration generator will create a registration keyfile and passkey for
the door game Assassin (PC version) by Kevin MacFarland.

CREATING A REGISTRATION KEYFILE

To create a keyfile and passkey, run the DOS executable file "ASNKG.EXE".
Enter the SysOp and BBS names you wish the game to be registered with. The
keygen will next prompt for a serial number to use. Enter any number in the
range of 1 - 9999 or press <Enter> to have the keygen create one randomly.
This information is displayed in the main menu of the game as:

                           ASSASSIN Version 1.XX
                          REGISTERED to <SysOp Name>
Serial Number XXXX running on <BBS Name>

The keygen will create a keyfile named "ASSASSIN.KEY" and will also display
the serial number and PassKey. These two items are required by the game's
configuration utility.

Register the game by copying the "ASSASSIN.KEY" keyfile to the game's main
directory. The game's configuration utility must also be used to enter the
serial number and PassKey. Run the game's "ASNUTIL.EXE" utility and select
the option:

  R> Registration Info

Enter the serial number and PassKey which were provided by the key generator.
The game will now be registered.

RECOVERING LOST SERIAL NUMBER/PASSKEY INFORMATION

The included DOS executable utility "READKEY.EXE" will read and display the
data from an Assassin keyfile. If your serial number and PassKey should be
lost, simply run this utility in the directory with the keyfile.
